‘Red King Humbert’ is a splendid, especially tall canna, reaching heights up to 6 feet. They are especially desirable for their distinctive foliage, which slowly turns from green to an exotic, reddish-bronze. The flowers range from bright red to reddish orange and bloom in mid-to-late summer. ‘Red King Humbert’ Cannas are showy tropical flowers. They are at home in any tropical garden but are especially striking when used in unexpected ways, such as a focal point in an urban garden. This Canna is also marvelous in water gardens!

Planting/Care Instructions +

Planting Instructions: Plant in spring, after the ground, warms to about 50º F. 1. Dig a hole 2-4" deep. 2. Place rhizome in the hole. 3. Cover with soil and water thoroughly. Cannas thrive in sunlight, heat, and humidity. Give Cannas plenty of water during the growing season. Space plants 12-18" apart. Plant heights 3-4'. Canna should be lifted before the first frost of fall in areas where the ground freezes. Dig, dry-off then place rhizomes in a well ventilated frost-free place for the winter.
