‘Patriot’ is great for northern climates and has the biggest, juiciest berries ever! It has been hybridized to adapt to the very northern climates of our country.  ‘Patriot’ is very winter hardy to -30 degrees F or lower (Zone 3-7). It  has large fruit that is firm and flavorful. The berry is formed on tight clusters. ‘Patriot’ is a great choice for the fresh or U-Pick markets because of the size and quality of the fruit. ‘Patriot’ is also very nice used as an ornamental bush and is well loved by wildlife. The flowers provide nectar for native bees, butterflies and other pollinators while the fruit is eaten by birds and other wildlife.  ‘Patriot’ is also disease resistant.

Blueberries are naturally high in antioxidants! This fast growing fruit is extremely nutritious and has a high vitamin content. Set plants out as early as possible in the spring. Prune branches back about 1/2 their length at planting time with no further pruning required the next 3 years. Prune annually thereafter, during the dormant period.
