Hosta ‘Sum and Substance’

Hosta ‘Sum and Substance’ is one of the finest and largest hostas ever introduced. This stunning perennial has huge, deeply veined, rounded leaves that vary in color from light green and chartreuse to gold. The rugged, glossy leaves of this handsome hosta are less likely to be demolished by slugs and snails. ‘Sum and Substance’ is a vigorous grower. The plant may be divided every few years or left undisturbed indefinitely. It will perform well in woodland settings where filtered light is abundant and may also be used as a container plant.

  • Perfect for woodland settings
  • Beautiful large leaves
  • Excellent for containers
