Planting/Care Instructions +

Planting Instructions: Choose a location with full sun and well-draining soil. Loosen soil and mix in compost or manure. Dig a hole large enough to encompass the roots without bending or circling. Set the plant in place so the crown (the part where the root meets the stem) is at the soil surface. Cover with soil to original soil surface. Spread a thin layer of mulch on the soil surface to maintain moisture and prevent weeds. Water thoroughly. Echinacea is drought tolerant once established so water new plants regularly. After frost, cut back stems to soil level. Plants may be divided or transplanted in spring or fall.
