Planting/Care Instructions +

Planting Instructions: Choose a location with full sun and well-drained soil. Coreopsis is drought tolerant and excellent for areas with dry soil. Dig a hole large enough to encompass the roots without bending or circling. Set the plant in place so the crown (part of the plant where the root meets the stem) is level with the soil surface. Cover with soil to the original soil surface and water thoroughly. Water regularly until plants are established. For continuous blooms, remove spent flowers and the stalk. To encourage late-season reblooming, prune off the top ¼ to ½ of the plant. Plants may be divided every 3 to 4 years in spring or early fall.

Pests or Diseases: Foliage is susceptible to powdery mildew, leaf spot and rust. If grown in poorly drained soils, crown rot may occur.
